The East Hills Summer Concert series is a once-per-month outdoor music event set to take place in Cherry Park (725 Cherry St. SE). All four nights of this family-friendly series are free to the public and will showcase vibrant local music and community organizers-- the third Thursday of the month: June, July, August and September!
East Hills is an extraordinary place to be, and these concerts are a great way to celebrate each other and enjoy the vibrancy of our beautiful, friendly, diverse, and safe neighborhood.
Concessions, including t-shirts, wine and beer, will be available for purchase with sales benefiting the East Hills Council of Neighbors.
This year’s local music lineup will showcase a number of diverse genres!
THIS MONTH:
Platypu5, a jazz-funk-jam-rock-oddity. High energy, dance music inspired by jazz, soul and cosmic neo-funk. If Steely Dan, Jamiroquai and Prince were combined, it would be Platypu5.

Overdrive Orchestra is a progedelic hard rock quintet.
An orchestration of sound, soul, and energy. When listening to Overdrive Orchestra, one will never hear the same sound twice. Their vibe has been described as gritty, natural, and hypnotic. Frontman Chris Cranick’s lyrical themes touch on peace, love, spirituality, and enlightenment while also expressing communal frustrations with politics, taboos, and the human condition. Influenced equally by classic rock mainstays like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd to modern cult favorites such as Queens Of The Stone Age and TOOL, the band prides itself on their intuitive song writing sensibility and dynamic sonic textures.
