Join East Forest for an immersive evening where music becomes a vessel for self-discovery. Known for his “lush” (Rolling Stone) and “blissful” (NPR) music, East Forest weaves ambient, neoclassical, electronic, and avant-pop in emotive, cinematic compositions. His live performances are ceremonial experiences, weaving original music, improvisation, and guided moments that invite deep inner reflection in the immersive setting of the Hope Theatre.
East Forest is a multidisciplinary artist, producer, speaker, and ceremony guide. Since 2008, he has blended organic and electronic elements to explore sound as a tool for consciousness expansion. His latest release, Lovingly: A Soundtrack For The Psychedelic Practitioner, vol. III, is an immersive long-form album (over six hours), recorded during psilocybin ceremonies from 2020–2024.
He also created Music for Mushrooms, a feature-length documentary exploring the transformative potential of psychedelics, music, and community, featuring voices like Ram Dass, Duncan Trussell, and leading psychedelic researchers.
With over 30 albums and collaborations with artists such as Jon Hopkins, Ram Dass, Laraaji, Dead Prez, Nick Mulvey, Peter Broderick, Max Cooper, and DJ ANNA, East Forest’s work spans music, meditation, and consciousness studies. He’s a faculty member at Esalen Institute and has worked with institutions including Google, Johns Hopkins, UCSF, Stanford, and TED, among others.
