<h4>The Wild Eye Project in Scarborough is excited to host free expert-led talks aboard SeaGrown's vessel, Southern Star. Join us for an evening of fascinating insights into Yorkshire’s marine life, featuring Grant Ellis from the Citizen Fins Project and Stuart Baines, Sea Watch’s regional coordinator. This event offers a unique chance to learn from top specialists in a unique environment.</h4>


Part 1: East Coast Bottlenose Dolphins: Past, Present, and Future
Grant Ellis from the Sea Mammal Research Unit (SMRU) will explore the history and future of the east coast bottlenose dolphin population. Discover how Citizen Science has fueled a new study to better understand these dolphins along the Yorkshire coastline.

There will be a short interval between the talks.

Part 2: Whales, Porpoises, and Dolphins of the Yorkshire Coast
Stuart Baines, Sea Watch’s regional coordinator for Yorkshire, will take you on a visual journey through the common and rare marine mammals that visit our coast. Through stunning photos and videos, Stuart will bring you closer to these spectacular creatures.

Wild Eye aims to foster a greater understanding of the incredible wildlife found across the North Yorkshire Coast, raising awareness of issues around nature, biodiversity and climate change.
