Be inspired by Planet Earth 🌍 and help us create an enormous, printed artwork featuring different perspectives on the Earth. Print onto a giant canvas using natural resources as printing tools. we will collaborate to create something beautiful and unique, just like the Earth. You can also visit our Earth Picture House to learn about the Earth in an environmentally themed presentation of vintage footage and a specially made soundtrack.
Visit the iconic Doctor Who art exhibition 🎨🖼 'Adventures in Space and Time: 60 Years of Doctor Who Art' and spot your favourite Doctor. Enter our Doctor Who competition, create some interstellar sci-fi drawings surrounded by the artworks of Doctor Who, and regenerate in the dressing-up corner. Don't forget to take a souvenir selfie next to the impressive comic book wall or in front of the Tardis jungle with the resident Dalek.
Plus take part in our brand new trail around the museum 'Adventures in Time Travel: Help Us Save the World.'⏳🚀🌍
💳 Entry to the museum is FREE (suggested donation of £5).
Activities £2 and trail £1 each.
⏰ The museum is open 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, Tuesday - Saturday
(plus Bank Holiday Mondays). Last entry 4:30 pm.

Housed in Taunton’s historic castle 🏰, the Museum of Somerset tells the county's fascinating story from prehistoric times ⏳ to the present day. Within the 12th century castle walls you’ll find nine amazing themed galleries, each with its own distinctive character. Plus great family visitor facilities, all situated within the town centre.
🔎 Our ‘must see’ exhibits include a 200 million year old Plesiosaur fossil (a type of marine reptile); the impressive Low Ham Roman mosaic; a stunning Bronze Age Gold Torc and the Frome Hoard of more than 50,000 Roman coins. The museum also houses The Somerset Military Museum.
Once you've enjoyed the Sci-Fi themed activities, trail and Doctor Who Art exhibition why not stop for refreshments at the Museum café. ☕🍰 The Courtyard Café showcases some of Somerset’s great-tasting produce. Take your pick from morning coffees and pastries, freshly-made light lunches, afternoon teas and cake. There is both indoor and outdoor seating.
