Earth Tones: A Slow-Craft Dyeing Workshop
A special edition of Creative Reset Club for Mental Health Week 2026, in collaboration with Slow Living Atelier.
This evening is an invitation to let go.
We'll use natural mineral dyes — rooted in ancient Japanese pigments, including the red Bengara — to dye 50×50cm cotton fabric by hand. The technique is simple: you knead the colour directly into the cloth with your hands. The result is always beautifully unpredictable.
Before the dyeing begins, we take a few quiet minutes for mindful journaling — no prompts or pressure, just a chance to arrive and settle.
There are no goals here. No "perfect" outcomes. We design, and we let go - let the colors find their own ways to flow.
What you'll experience:
– A brief moment of grounding: journaling and collective sharing (optional)
– Hands-on mineral dyeing using natural earth pigments
– A slow, meditative process that gets you out of your head
– You leave with a unique, hand-dyed textile artwork
What's included:
– All materials (pre-treated fabric, natural dyes, tools)
– Facilitation by Slow Living Atelier
– Snacks and a cozy studio space
