The Movie
In 2020 Soledad O'Brian and her crew with BET came and shot a documentary feature on the Shingle Mountain fight and the broader effort to address racist zoning and land use policies in Dallas that led to its' formation. Downwinders at Risk, Southern Sector Rising, the Inclusive Communities Project, Dallas Truth Racial Healing & Tranformation, Friendship West Baptist Church and other local advocacy organizations were featured in the documentary and many continue the work today!

Spacy is a 'micro-cinema' within Tyler Station located in Oak Cliff. Limited seating at Spacy - Be sure to RSVP on Eventbrite!
Program
The box office will open at 5:30 pm, screening will start at 6:00 pm and run until 6:45 and we will close out with a talk back until we vacate the space around 7:30 pm!
Food & Drinks
There are food trucks and great beer at Oak Cliff Brewery, so come ready to enjoy local food and drinks and connect with local environmental justice organizations and advocates.
