Celebrate with FOLC & BLM King Range during our 2 Earth Day weekend events in Shelter Cove. We’ll be getting together on Friday, April 19th for an afternoon beach cleanup at Mal Coombs Park and Black Sands Beach from 3-6PM. Come out and lend a hand! Earth day is the perfect time to celebrate and protect beautiful natural spaces like those along the Lost Coast.This event is open to volunteers of all ages, and $10/hr stipends are available for local youth aged 10-17. Please bring water, dress in layers, and wear appropriate footwear for rocky or slippery conditions. Please meet at Mal Coombs Park, located at 1176 Lower Pacific Drive in Shelter Cove, by 3PM. Earth Day weekend part 2 (featuring native plant restoration) is on Sunday, April 21st at the same location.
