Restoration of Ecosystems is an important aspect of Earth Day activities. Join our ambassador John Volpa as he takes you on a journey through the restoration of Black Run Preserve. He will take you to the sites of major restoration projects and describe the plans for future efforts. We will hike 2 miles with frequent stops. Our trails have hard and soft sand, slight elevations, roots, and stumps and some wet areas. Porta Potty is available at the beginning and end of hikeDATE: Sunday, April 27, 2025
TIME: 10:00am to 12:00pm (Meet at the welcome table at 9:30 am to check in.)
WHERE TO MEET: Bortons Road Trailhead
WHAT TO WEAR: Dress for the weather and bring a water bottle. Hiking boots, sturdy shoes, or waterproof boots are recommended.
DETAILS: This is a social/informational hike to familiarize participants with the trails of the Black Run Preserve and the Friends of the Black Run Preserve community.
