Join the Carroll County Master Gardeners to celebrate Earth Day at Piney Run Park’s Nature Center on Saturday, April 26 from 10 am to 2 pm for a fun, educational day full of activities for all. Learn about the many ways YOU can help protect and preserve the Earth for the future. Information about pollinators, Bay-Wise, and monarch butterflies will also be on display. Participate in the Environment Hunt that highlights some of the wildlife that lives at the Nature Center. If you need special assistance to participate in this program, please contact the University of Maryland Extension Carroll County Office at least two (2) weeks in advance at 410-386-2760. Data Challenge – Take the challenge and find how much you learn on Earth Day.
Children’s Room – See how recycled games are created and take instructions home to create your own games. Also, recycled crafts created with materials available at home. Select Take Home Activities to complete at home.
Plant Clinic – Get answers to gardening questions from Master Gardeners.
UME Resources: Learn about valuable resources available through the UME Home and Garden Information Center.
