Celebrate Earth Day 2025 with us at the library in this free and fun program! Discover how to cultivate and use both perennial and annual common and unusual varieties of culinary herbs. As a bonus, some of these herbs are insect repellents as well as culinary delights. Learn the growing requirements, harvesting and preservation methods of these herbs in this hands-on workshop under the guidance of Sandy Daniels from Inland Bays Garden Center.
In the second half of the workshop, you will create your own culinary herb garden to take home to put by your kitchen window or your back door for harvesting all spring and summer. We will be going outside in the library garden for the second half of the workshop so please dress accordingly for the weather.
Free, but registration is very limited and required. There is a morning session at 10:15 am or an afternoon session at 1:00 pm. Patrons can register for one or the other, but not both.
