About this Event
To celebrate Earth Day 2025, come join staff and volunteers of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge and fromStreamtoBay for a Beach Cleanup at Cedar Point National Wildlife Refuge during National Volunteer Week! The Beach Cleanup will take place on Saturday, April 26th from 1:00pm to 3:30pm. Volunteers will meet at the Cedar Point National Wildlife Refuge east entrance (41.67193895854568, -83.31256523284895). From there, we will shuttle volunteers to the beach at Potter's Pond where we will pick up trash. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water. Supplies such as gloves, bags, and trash pickers will be provided. Registration is required on Eventbrite, and space is limited. Please note, Cedar Point National Wildlife Refuge is closed to the public – access is only by permit or through special events like this. Call (419) 607-7506 with questions.
This event is part of our recurring monthly cleanups, usually scheduled on the second Saturday of every month. Keep an eye out for future volunteer events to help us keep plastic waste and other litter off of our beaches and out of our waterways and local communities!
