The Green Bay Conservation Corps is hosting a large-scale volunteer event on Earth Day. The event, scheduled for Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., aims to bring together over 300 volunteers at the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary for a day of environmental stewardship and community engagement. Participants will contribute to various conservation efforts, including tree planting, trail system improvements, invasive species removal, and park clean-up.
Activities include:
• Tree planting at the Wildlife Sanctuary
• Tree planting at Perkins Park
• Trail mulching at the Wildlife Sanctuary
• Garlic mustard removal at the Wildlife Sanctuary
• Phragmites cutting and removal at the Wildlife Sanctuary
• Park clean ups (8+ locations available)
Volunteers are asked to pre-register for the event using the online form. On the form, your group can select which activity you would prefer.
Check-in starts at 9 AM, followed by a welcome program at 9:30 AM. The volunteers will break out into their activities from 10 AM to 12 PM. We will end the event with a picnic celebration from 12 PM to 1 PM with local food trucks.
Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome! You can sign up as an individual or as a group. Volunteers under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian sign a waiver.
We hope you and your group can join us for this impactful event right before the 2025 NFL Draft.
Parking will be available at the adjacent Bay Beach Amusement Park to accommodate the large number of expected participants.
