Earth Dance was born of our devotion to the Earth & all of our relations, our trust in community & our love of dance as a means of alchemy & expression. We create a four hour ceremonial song & dance space through which we get to touch the dirt and divinity of our being, individually & collectively.Where: The Barn at Pengelly, Truro
When: Sunday 11th May 4-8pm
We ground in through embodied meditation, open ceremonial space through prayer and share cacao. We move into guided chanting & song to open our lungs, hearts & voices and let the medicine move in us through these subtler channels in relative stillness, sharing our intentions with our creator and lifting our voices to love. As we feel the energy of our prayers, we move into our dance space. Movement is prompted to begin to support the drop into our bodies’ wild wisdom, until we break into free form movement. The space weaves into kriya to really activate all that is alive in our bodies and in our space, & then descends towards a community grief tending moment that is always a powerful remembrance of our birth rite to grieve together.
Our musical landscape touches mostly to ethnic trance, tribal house, medicine music, mantra, indigenous prayer transmissions & yes normally some wobbly drum and bass thanks to Charlie.
May we remember our deep & full privilege to gather and pray & express ourselves in these sacred ways during these times on planet Earth when many of our relations do not have the safety, abundance or health to do so, may we remember our birth rite to dance & sing freely for life, earth & each other & remember those who are cast out of this birth rite during these times.
May we lift a vibration of our collective liberation so fully for those who cannot, may we ground the vibration of our sovereignty so fully that the earth shakes in change, may we be the change we wish to see whilst holding the fragility of our privilege in this crumbling paradigm.
