Earp's Songwriters Circle - Hosted by Brent Funkhouser, Featuring Meisha Herron and Paul WolfeBrent Funkhouser began writing songs to quell his adolescent boredom, and quickly fell head-first into a life-long obsession. Growing up in a small town on the edge of Appalachia meant entertainment options were limited, and music provided a creative remedy. Not quite fitting the mold of country despite his Shenandoah drawl, Brent half-jokingly describes his music as y’alternative (or as a friend once said, “not redneck, but redneck adjacent”).
Meisha Herron is a singer-songwriter, guitarist and song-stylist originating from Chicago. Her past experience includes Chicago Blues Fest, an opener for Buddy Guy, Four Tops, Spinners and Don McLean and headlining the Belle Grove Beer Fest in 2023. She will be performing her original songs from past to more current. Her songs infuse elements of folk, jazz, blues and rock.
Paul Wolfe is an award-winning songwriter whose creativity and thoughtful lyrics have made him a favorite in the local folk music scene. Originally from Pittsburgh and now living in Fairfax, Paul has won over audiences with his range of musical styles and charming stage presence.
