Join skilled birder and naturalist, Ryan Jorgensen, on February 14th, 2026 at 8:00 AM at the Oxbow Nature Conservancy for the Early Spring Waterfowl Migration - Bird Walk! Early spring waterfowl migration should be in full swing by this date and will be the primary focus of the trip! The chances of seeing a diversity of birds and other wildlife are very good as Ryan is not just a skilled birder, but is also an expert naturalist! Ryan has a Master’s degree in Biological Science from the University of Cincinnati where he specialized in herpetology, and he is also a board member of our local Audubon Society.
Ryan’s plan for this trip is to move around to several locations in the Oxbow area, including Lost Bridge over the Great Miami River, to better our chances of finding a wide variety of species. Please meet Ryan at the upper parking lot of the Oxbow Nature Conservancy located at: 17160-17278 Reardon Dr, Lawrenceburg, IN 47025
So why not shake off your cabin fever and join Ryan for what should be an interesting morning of wildlife viewing in the Oxbow. Be sure to dress appropriately and wear decent footwear. This is a morning trip that should end before noon. Walking will be moderate with lots of stops for viewing birds and other wildlife. There are no restrooms available in the Oxbow. Feel free to contact Ryan if you have any questions regarding the trip at [email protected]
