Our mission is to advocate for universal access to high-quality pre-kindergarten for all three- and four-year-olds. Join the movement for #EarlyLearningForAll as we push for Full Day Universal Prekindergarten in Florida. This event will bring together community members, educators, and advocates dedicated to improving early childhood education.
Why does this matter?
The future of our children—and our community—starts with early learning. Studies consistently show that investing in early childhood education sets the stage for success, boosting cognitive development, improving educational outcomes, and creating healthier, more equitable communities. Every year we delay, the achievement gap widens, and opportunities are lost.
"Access to child care in the 1980s and 1990s was significantly more attainable, with programs like the YMCA and after-school initiatives at community parks providing affordable options. Fast forward to 2024, and we face a stark contrast—where has the funding gone? Today, even dual-income households struggle with the average cost of $140 per week for childcare, leaving single parents facing an even more daunting challenge."
