Celebrate Mother Earth with a special storytime focusing on the place we call home. This storytime will feature a special guest, Miss Clinton County: Mariah Martinez! After storytime stay for a special sensory craft. This program is best for ages 4-7.More about Mariah: Mariah Martinez is Miss Clinton County 2023, in the Miss Iowa Scholarship program under The Miss America Organization. Where she has earned over $8,000 in scholarships. Mariah is a full-time college student (senior) at Upper Iowa University, majoring in elementary education with an endorsement in Strat 2. Mariah is actively involved in the Quad Cities community as a long-time volunteer with many non-profit organizations, including Love Girls Magazine, Miss Juneteenth of the Quad Cities, and Pete The Purple Bull. Mariah has worked for the Rock Island Milan School District for four years and is excited to work with the Davenport Public Library for Izzy's Early Earth Day Storytime!
