About this Event
This course offers an introduction to the history and theology of Christianity during its fitsy 500 years. We will study Christian growth in this period while asking the question, "What can we learn from this growth?" We will also gain familiarity with core aspects of Christian thinking during this period, not least some emphases in their approach to scripture, liturgy, and the moral life.
About the instructor: Dr. David Deane earned a BA, MA, and PhD at Trinity College, Dublin. Prior to serving with AST, he was Theologian in Residence at Colorado State University. He teaches courses in Roman Catholic Theology, Christian doctrine, Christian anarchism, Moral Theology, and Apologetics. He is a frequent theological commentator on radio and television and has written on theological issues for Times of London, the Irish Times, and the Irish Independent.
Dates: September 9 - December 9, 2024.
Days & Times: Mondays, 4:00pm-6:30pm.
Requirements: Readings and discussions. No written work, projects, or presentations.
