About this Event
A farm in East Lothian with areas managed for wildlife habitat
On this visit we will be assisting the client with their programme of woodland management for conservation, including maintaining new tree plantings. Aftercare/beating up is very important for successful treeplanting as it allows for the replacement of dead saplings and for problems such as broken stakes or damaged tubes to be corrected before the growing tree is damaged.
We encourage volunteers to use our minibus for transport. If you live near this task and wish to make your own way you must ring Debbie on 01313370223 to book a space and for joining instructions.
P lease bring your lunch and wear appropriate footwear (boots or wellingtons) and waterproof outdoor clothing.
You can check our website for further information and frequently asked questions.
