About this Event

Join Compass Point, home of Dirty Girl Adventures, for their annual Eagle Hike near Lake Perry! We will enjoy some trail time while looking for Eagles. Once there are eggs in the nest, there is always an adult Eagle on the nest with their partner fairly close at hand. Late January and February are the perfect times for viewing eagles. This hike is open to anyone who is interested in hiking approximately 2 - 3 miles. The trail surface is uneven and features some steep inclines and declines.

The specific location for this hike will be selected based on observed eagle activity before the event. DGA Guides will spend time scouting for the best locations for Eagle viewing in the preceding weeks.

During this event, DGA guides will provide an informative talk about eagles and their habits. We will hike approximately 2 - 3 miles.

Detailed directions and suggestions will be emailed by Friday, January 25th. This allows us to monitor the weather and conditions before issuing final instructions.

When: Saturday, January 24th

Check-in: 12:30 p.m. — specific location TBD.

Wear/Bring: Dress in layers, wear sturdy shoes/boots with traction, hat, gloves, water, snacks, camera, binoculars, monoculars. No dogs for this event.

What: Hike 2 - 3 miles… look for Eagles, be happy! Feel the fresh air, see the sights, meet new friends!

What are you paying for? Dirty Girl Adventures, LLC will organize the event, provide a guide, support on the trail, and docent information throughout the event. We will monitor the weather and conditions to ensure that our event and participants are safe. Our knowledgeable and informed guide service includes a leading guide and a sweep guide during the hike. Trail support including: first aid, knowledge of the environment and locale, safety monitoring, pacing, interpretive information on the environment and location.

In case you are wondering about our refund policy, refunds are given up to one week before the date of the event when the refund is requested in an email directed to [email protected]. After that, there are no refunds.
