Eagle Day at Milford Nature Center is a special winter wildlife event celebrating bald eagles and other birds of prey. Visitors can take part in guided bus tours around Milford Lake to observe eagles in their natural habitat while learning about their behavior, migration, and conservation from experienced naturalists. Back at the Nature Center, guests can enjoy live bird of prey programs that feature up-close encounters with raptors and educational talks about their adaptations and role in the ecosystem. The event is designed for all ages and offers a unique opportunity to experience eagle watching and wildlife education! **Please note: Eagle sightings are not guaranteed. Most of the region’s wintering eagle populations are currently concentrated at Loess Bluffs National Wildlife Refuge, so visitors may see fewer eagles at Milford Lake. However, the tours and programs still provide an excellent opportunity to learn about eagles, enjoy winter wildlife viewing, and experience the outdoors with knowledgeable guides.
**Inclement weather advisory- If the roads have ice accumulating on the bus routes, the event will be cancelled. The colder the weather, the more likely eagles will be visible!
