1. Eligibility: Tournament is open to all USBC Youth Members.
A: All entries and competition in this tournament will follow all USBC rules.
B: All Youth bowlers must be a current member of USBC for 2024-2025 season.
Membership will be available to purchase the day of the tournament
2. Event: Tournament will be based on Combined Bowlers Averages EXCEPT for Scratch Division.
Scratch Division must be noted on entry Form.
Doubles Division A Division B Division C
2 on a Team 321 & above 261-320 260 & below
Singles & All Events Boys & Girls
Division A 161 & above
Division B 126-160
Division C 125 & below
B: Each Event will bowl 3 games each.
C: No Bowl Team is a virtual event utilizing their 3 game doubles scores. This is an optional event. Can be bowled on any squad where 4 youth bowlers want to bowl as a team. Scores for this event will come from your first doubles event bowled. There will be only one scratch and one handicap division for this event.
D: All Events will be based on scores from Doubles and Singles only.
3. Averages
A: Highest 2023-2024 USBC average from the previous winter or summer season will be used with a minimum of 21 games, or a verifiable 2024-2025 USBC average of 21 games or more with proof.
B: If no verifiable average, bowler will bowl scratch. A 220 average will be assigned.
C: USBC Rule 319a 2 – 10 pin rule will apply
D. It will be each bowler responsibly to verify their average in accordance with USBC rule 319a 3. Failure to use proper average or make the correction by the end of the first game, will result in disqualification from this tournament if the submitted average is lower than current average. If the submitted average is higher, that will be the average used.
4. Handicap
A: Handicap will be 80% of 220. Doubles event will be based on 440, and Singles and All events will be based on 220. No Bowl Team will be based on combined averages of 880.
5. Entry
A: Entry Fee is $30.00 per bowler per event. $10 for lineage, $15 for Scholarship, $5 for Awards.
All events entry fee is $5.00 per bowler. No Bowl Team entry fee is $5.
B: All entry forms can be mailed to the Tournament Director or Emailed to [email protected]
C: Walk in Entries/Re-Entries will be accepted based on availability. All walk in/ re-entries will close 30 mins prior to the start of the squad.
D: Re-Entries: Only 3 Re-entries per event.
To place more than once:
No Bowl Team must have two different partners. Doubles Event must be with a different partner.
E: Single and All events can only place once.
F: Payment - PayPal (Friends or Family – No Fees) [email protected] Checks will be accepted up to two weeks prior to the tournament or Cash the day of the tournament.
6. Awards/Scholarship
A: All Scholarships Awards will be 100% returned in the form of Smart Scholarship. Only those entrants into the All-Events qualify for the All-Events Scholarship Fund. Entry into the All-Events for doubles and singles must be paid before first squad bowled. Only those entrants in the No Bowl Team event qualify for the Scholarship Fund.
B: Scholarship Award Ratio: 1 in 5 will receive Scholarship based on the number of entries. Can only win one Scholarship per event.
C: In the event of a tie in any event co-champions will be declared
7. Conduct and Dress Code
A: Improper Conduct will result in disqualification from the event
B: DRESS CODE: All clothing must have no holes or tears. All clothing shall cover all undergarments appropriately, no midriffs, low cut or revealing clothing is not allowed. All T-shirts and collared shirts must have sleeves. Full-length pants, capris, skirts, skorts and shorts are permitted. All skirts, skorts or shorts must be no shorter than 3 inches above the knee. No Hats of any kind. Tournament Director will have final say.
C: NO electronic devices may be worn during competition. (ex: headphones or Earbuds)
