About this Event

Join Lallemand Plant Care (previously known as BioForest) for a half-day event focused on emerald ash borer (EAB) preparedness. This in-person event will feature insights and practical advice from Elsa Cousineau, Technical Sales Representative, and Allison Craig, Manager, Urban Forest Health Services. Learn from their extensive experience managing EAB since its initial detection in North America in 2002.

This is an in-person event held at the UBC Botanical Garden Reception Room. Refreshments, snacks, and lunch will be provided. This event is free to register.

About the presenters


<h4>Allison Craig, MFC Manager, Urban Forest Health Services</h4>

Allison leads the Urban Forest Health Services Department where she manages a variety of projects focused on invasive species management, urban forest assessment, and stewardship. She completed her Masters in Forest Conservation at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Forestry, where her research focused on emerald ash borer management in urban woodlots. She is a Registered Professional Forester, ISA Certified Municipal Arborist, and ISA Qualified Tree Risk Assessor.


<h4>Elsa Cousineau, Technical Sales Representative</h4>

Elsa leads the technical support team for Forestry in North America. She is an ISA certified arborist, and a graduate from La Cité collégiale's Forestry Technician program in 2006, where she now serves as a part-time instructor. With over 15 years of experience in arboriculture, plant healthcare, and urban forest pest management, she has successfully protected countless trees from threats like emerald ash borer and Dutch elm disease.
