
About this Event
E-Commerce Growth Lab is a 3-month program designed to help small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs either start or expand their online businesses. The program includes three monthly workshops, covering essential topics in e-commerce and digital marketing. Participants who complete all three workshops will unlock access to one-on-one office hours at the end of the program.
The program will:
- Enable businesses to successfully launch or expand their online sales.
- Enhance e-commerce knowledge among small business owners.
- Provide actionable strategies for digital marketing and e-commerce optimization.
- Offer personalized support through office hours once the full program is completed.
Monthly sessions include:
Month 1: Introduction to E-Commerce – April 10, 6:00-7:30
Workshop: Overview of e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.), selecting
the right business model, and setting up an online store.
Outcome: Participants will learn to set up an online store and choose the right platform
for their business.
Month 2: Product Listing & Optimization – May 8, 6:00-7:30
Workshop: Best practices for creating product listings, effective product photography,
compelling descriptions, and pricing strategies.
Outcome: Participants will optimize their product listings, photography, and pricing
strategies for maximum impact.
Month 3: Digital Marketing Basics – June 12, 6:00-7:30
Workshop: Introduction to digital marketing, including SEO, social media marketing, and
email marketing.
Outcome: Participants will develop a basic digital marketing plan and learn strategies for
increasing online visibility and engagement.
Valued at over $300, this program is being offered at a cost of just $49 thanks to the support of MVCC’s thINCubator and the Mohawk Valley Small Business Development Center.

Presenter Bio
Kevin Ross is a seasoned e-commerce entrepreneur with over 11 years of experience in the digital and marketing spaces. For the past five years, he has served as Chief Operating Officer at Off the Muck, an innovative e-commerce platform specializing in fresh, locally sourced produce. Prior to this, Kevin spent six years as the Director of Marketing for G.V. Foods Inc., a Syracuse-based restaurant group, where he successfully led marketing campaigns that drove brand awareness and customer engagement. With a strong background in both e-commerce operations and marketing, Kevin is dedicated to helping others succeed in the digital marketplace. Through the E-Commerce Growth Lab, he shares his wealth of knowledge to guide participants toward building successful online businesses.
