Join us for our annual Día del Niño (Day of the Child) festivities, a global celebration of children, with a wide variety of live music, dance performances, art making, and free general admission for everyone!April 28 is a Free Day at the DAM, so general admission will be free for all visitors. Reserve a ticket in advance, or at the front desk upon entry. On April 28, enjoy 10% off all children's items in the Shop at the DAM in celebration of Día del Niño.
Activities for the day include:
- Experience the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere in Michoacán, Mexico, through virtual reality visors provided by the Mexican Consulate General in Denver and the Butterfly Pavilion at the Creative Hub in the Martin Building.
- The Denver Preschool Program (DPP) will bring in celebrity guest readers at 11 am at Sturm Pavilion to read "Señorita Mariposa" by Ben Gundersheimer. A complimentary book will be given to each child who attends the book reading while supplies last.
- In the Dream Studio on level 1 of the Hamilton Building, visitors will be able to join live art demonstrations by artist Arturo García from 12 to 3pm.
- On the second level of the Hamilton Building, artist Chris Bagley will meet and greet visitors from 1 to 3pm.

Día del Niño and Free Days at the DAM are made possible by the residents who support the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) and presented by Your 6 Front Range Toyota Stores.
Día del Niño is supported by AICEF (the American Indonesian Cultural and Education Foundation), ARCINDA (the Arts and Culture of Indonesia), the Consulate General of Mexico in Denver, the Butterfly Pavilion, the Denver Preschool Program, KBNO Radio, and the Mexican Cultural Center.

Acompáñanos a nuestra festividad anual del Día del Niño, una celebración de todas las niñas y niños del mundo, con presentaciones en vivo de una gran variedad de música y danza, actividades de arte y entrada gratuita para todos.

Las y los visitantes podrán vivir la experiencia de la Biósfera de la Mariposa Monarca de Michoacán, México en el Corazón Creativo del Edificio Martin a través de visores de realidad virtual presentados por el Consulado General de México en Denver y el Butterfly Pavilion.
El Denver Preschool Program (DPP) invitará a celebridades locales a las 11 a.m. a leer en el Sturm Pavilion del Edificio Martin el libro Señorita mariposa de Ben Gundersheimer. Se obsequiará un libro a cada niña y niño que esté presente en la lectura del libro hasta agotar ejemplares.
En el Estudio de Sueños del Edificio Hamilton podrán observar al artista Arturo García demonstrar su arte de las 12 del mediodía a las 3 p.m.
Las y los visitantes podrán saludar y platicar con el artista Chris Bagley, creador de la instalación Comando del Espacio, en el nivel 2 del Edificio Hamilton, de la 1 p.m. a las 3 p.m.
