Join the national celebrations for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee by joining The ‘Durham Big Lunch’ on Sunday 5th June, from 12.30 to 3.30pm. Bring your family and friends, and of course your picnic, to Durham Market Place, and share the celebrations with lots of others.There will be a limited number of tables and chairs in the Market Place available for anyone’s use. Please ensure there is no alcohol in your picnic to comply with existing regulations.
Entertainment in the Market Place will include the Alan Owens Big Band, a steel drum band, a magician and free children’s entertainment.
There is no need to register for this event, just turn up on the day and enjoy celebrating the Jubilee together in the heart of Durham.
