The Friends of the DuPage River is hosting a River clean up day. Although every time you’re on the river you should be taking the items you brought with you and picking up any other trash you might stumble upon, there’s always something left behind. On October 4th @8:00 AM. We will have several areas specifically that we will be working on. The more volunteers we get, we will add more locations on and off the river. We will meet up at the end of the river sweep for some pizza and refreshments as a thank you. Plainfield River Tubing will be supplying us with garbage bags and the pizza/refreshments. Please be sure to let us know if you’ll be there at the end so we can make sure we have enough food. The locations will be added to the comments. The pizza party will be at Hammel Woods at 12:45
Be sure to wear life jackets if you’re in the river, work gloves, waterproof shoes, garbage grabbers, etc.
