18:00 DOORS
18:30 << ALEXANDER RUESS & OSCAR ANDREAS HAUG >>
Oscar Andreas Haug - trumpet
Alexander Rueß - guitar
Berlin-based guitarist Alexander Rueß and Norwegian trumpeter Oscar Andreas Haug first crossed paths and played together in Copenhagen, the geographical midpoint between their hometowns. Todays concert marks their debut as a duo on stage. In this intimate setting, Haug's and Rueß’ expansive Nordic soundscapes blend with the urban rhythms and tones. Rueß’s intricate guitar work, often using looping techniques, creates hypnotic layers that pulse with a steady, almost trance-like rhythm, while Haug’s trumpet soars above, evoking both the stark beauty of solitude and the raw power of emotion.
Together, they craft a soundscape that is as much about the spaces between the notes as the notes themselves, offering a deeply moving experience that lingers long after the final chord has been struck. This debut promises an evening of musical exploration where melancholy meets ecstasy, and the listener is taken on a journey through sound and emotion.
