UNFOLK is a Latvian piano and drum duo of two musicians and friends, J. The project began as a drum duet in Latvia, but the meeting of the two musical beings took on a new form and purpose in Copenhagen, during their studies at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory. Both musicians are equally interested in various musical styles such as Nordic minimalism, Baltic romanticism, pop music, and improvised music. The music uses improvisation as a tool, to seek an inner path, leading them to a space of acceptance and honesty. Thereby establishing an environment in which no one has to worry about the materialistic values of life.

ALKUL duo consists of vocalist Björg Blöndal and electric guitarist Thorkell Ragnar. Coming from Iceland, the group presents a mix of original compositions and Icelandic folk music. They strive to write minimalistic and simple music whilst challenging the norm, searching for different sounds and textures within improvisation. Their music could be described as melancholic, dark and gloomy yet playful, with colourful and strong melodies.
