About this Event
Every DMC acoustic event at Foakes Hall features three fantastic acoustic live acts. Tonight, our amazing acts will be Louise Marshall, Robert Vincent and Evelyn White.
Louise Marshall
From shows in the West End to touring gigs, countless recordings and live work with her own line up, Louise has decided to break the mould and do what she fancies doing. A quirky musician who loves the experimental craziness that comes with the harmonious stories in her head. You might find yourself surprised and moved when you come to a live gig as a lot of stuff happens ‘off the cuff' - anything and everything can happen! It tends to be an eclectic mix of improvisation and organic flavours - free spirited and fully embracing the sprinkles of emotion!
"You will probably have seen me on Hootenanny at the Annual Jools broadcast singing in the new year. It’s been such a ride with Jools since 2006 and I absolutely love headlining with him plus backing some of the greatest performers in the world. The vibe in the band is joyous and LOUD! Being pregnant with my daughter singing at the Royal Albert Hall in my first year with Jools was a special highlight. (she’s now a teenager and a mini dancer/singer)"
Along with providing backing vocals for household names such as Beverley Knight, Marc Almond, Dionne Warwick, Chaka Khan and many more, Louise has most recently been touring with David Gilmour of Pink Floyd in Rome, London, Los Angeles and New York. She was also one of the six singers for Adiemus – Concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London, 1996.
After decades working with famous people (Paul Weller, Michael Ball), Louise has developed her own sound, her own flavours and enhancements, "I literally absorbed all the experiences – and it inspired me to write my own albums. My song ideas wake me up and I have to get my phone, record the basic tune and play the chords so I can come back to it later"
"I'm really looking forward to coming to the Dunmow Music Club and can’t wait to share my sprinkles with you!"

Robert Vincent
Change is in the air for award-winning artist Robert Vincent.
The Scouse singer/songwriter released his much-anticipated fourth studio album through Thirty Tigers in 2024 and its music is riding the winds of change in the air. “The songs are less traditional sounding,” he reveals. “I’m learning how to lower my barriers and have made a more personal album than ever before.”
It was the start of 2020 when Robert’s third LP, the critically-acclaimed ‘In This Town You’re Owned’, was released and walked straight into a worldwide pandemic. That stalled all promotional plans and tours, but the record resonated and won the prestigious Americana Music Association UK’s ‘Album Of The Year’ award for 2021. Now, Robert wants to spread his music’s prescient words: “I think there will be mixed memories for anyone who lived through that and hopefully the album was a bit of a soundtrack to those times for some folks,” he says. “I had to try and take the positives as an artist. I hadn’t had any time off in many years from gigging and that gave me a bit of a reset… but I’m looking ahead to a successful year of touring and playing these new songs to people.”
The record has captured said intimacy. Robert’s core band came together and made the music live in the studio, looking into the whites of each other’s eyes. “I chose to record closer to home with my usual band of brothers and sisters (Anna Corcoran on piano, vocals; Jim Kimberley, drums; Danny Williams, bass; Adrian Gautrey, guitar, keys) and they assisted me beautifully as always. We’ve also got featured musicians like Joe Coombs, an amazing guitar player from the south west, and added inspired bits and mixed the record.”
For DMC Robert will be performing with Anna Corcoran.
Evelyn White
Evelyn White is an 18-year-old singer/songwriter and A level student from Kent, who performs a mixture of both her own songs and covers.
With a stripped back style of just her voice and guitar, she has performed at a range of small venues, both with a band and alone. The material she writes ranges from calm and moving to upbeat and pop rock.
She is currently writing new material and hoping to re-record her first EP to incorporate her latest work.
Over 18's only.
