EVENT OVERVIEW:
The perfect event for first-time players or people curious about getting into D&D and seasoned tabletop veterans and DMs alike.
We're taking over Hollywood's historic El Cid theater (a venue that looks like a real-life medieval castle inside) for a fun filled night with fellow Dungeons & Dragons players, fans, and enthusiasts.
Each guest will receive a free 3D printed D&D miniature figure with paid admission.
This event will feature our exciting D&D Dungeon Battles Live! where we call audience volunteers onto stage to form a party of level 1 characters (we provide the 1st level character sheets) and play through a combat scenario against monster run by one of our guest DMs live at game table live on stage. All monsters will be chosen by a spin of our infamous "Wheel Of Death."
By attending you will also receive a free invitation to our private Socal D&D Discord server filled with hundreds of local D&D and TTRPG players.
This event is open to anyone 18 years and over whether you currently play D&D or not.
Our events are a great place to meet fellow players and find new D&D gaming groups to join.
This meetup event is for all levels of players and D&D fans.
We have people who have never played, have been playing for less than six months, and who have been playing for 30 years or more.
No D&D experience necessary. If you're interested in D&D and want to know more about how to play then this is the event for you!

Schedule Of The Evening's Events:
6:30pm - Doors open, drinks, bar menu food, mingling
7:00pm - Event intro and D&D loot drop. Member and new member introductions (every introduces themselves - name, city, D&D version they play, favorite character type to play).
8pm - Dungeon Combat Live! - volunteers from the audience are called onto stage to play a round of combat against a monster chosen by spinning the Wheel Of Death!
Optional Two-Hour One-Shot Game Add-On Information:
Recently we’ve trying out having guest DMs run two-hour one-shot games at some of our larger event spaces. And it’s working out pretty well.
So, we’re adding some one-shot games that guests can join at this Monday’s El Cid event.
The one-shots will run from 8pm to 10pm on the back patio at El Cid. The weather report says no rain, so we should be all clear.
If you’d like to play in one of these games it’s easy.
Here’s how:
1. Buy a ticket for the tavern party event.
2. At checkout choose the Add-On option for “Two-Hour One-Shot.” (There is a $5 fee and this money will go directly to the DM running your game.)
3. Pick a table number 1 through 4.
And that’s it.
You’ll be assigned to the table/DM you chose.
Show up by 7pm to check-in, receive your free dice and mini, and to participate in the raffle and club intros.
Then at 7:50pm head out to the back patio to play your game with your group.
