RailHopper is a regionally touring honky-tonk rock & roll band from Madison, Wisconsin. Since 2017, this electrified power trio has filled bars, clubs and festivals across the Badger State and beyond with its novel blend of musicality, moxie and songcraft. Its repertoire spans the hallmarks of American guitar music — rock & roll, the blues, and honky-tonk country — from mid-century to the modern era through both thoughtful covers and original compositions. The result is a uniquely uncompromising bar band that puts the pedal down and pulls audiences along for the ride; a Waylon Jennings vibe with a Stevie Ray Vaughan guitar — sometimes almost literally.RailHopper plays dozens of shows each year across the Upper Midwest. It has performed on stages from Chicago to Wisconsin’s Northwoods to the Mississippi Valley, as well as opened for industry icons and up-and-coming artists alike, from David Allen Coe and Dallas Moore to Whey Jennings and Alex Williams. The band has graced numerous major festivals and venues, including Symco Weekender, the World’s Largest Brat Fest and the Crystal Grand Music Theatre.
