
The Dufferin Film Festival is a bold and vibrant celebration of Canadian short films returning to Orangeville this August 15–17 with an unforgettable weekend of screenings events and connection. Showcasing 17 exceptional short films from across the country—including world premieres award-winning stories and one Oscar-qualified title—DFF offers audiences the chance to experience the best in Canadian cinema right here in Dufferin County.
Every screening is a red-carpet experience at the historic Orangeville Opera House complete with filmmaker Q&As and opportunities to meet the creative minds behind the films. The energy continues off-screen with two can’t-miss signature events: Friday night’s VIP Party at Revival 1863 where filmmakers and guests mingle featuring cocktails live music dancing magic and plenty of celebration. Saturday night’s Social Under the Stars at Greystones Cafe Patio where filmmakers and guests mingle enjoy chef-curated amuse de bouche and live jazz in a relaxed summer setting. Sunday night - the infamous awards dinner at Greystones Restaurant which is where the 2025 awards will be announced.
