About this Event
Preparation for Birth and Beyond (PBB) supports parents to prepare for baby's arrival. Together we will look at understanding baby, birth, feeding, sleep, preparing relationships and where to get support and advice.
Please book on to a PBB course when you are around 24 weeks pregnant or later at the time of booking.
PBB is available to all first-time parents who pay Community Charge to Leeds City Council and reside in the North East (e.g. Moortown, Chapel Allerton,Oakwood) of Leeds at the time of course start date.
This will enable you to meet other parents as well as a registered Midwife, 0-19 Specialist Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor) and Children's Centre worker from your local area. Places are limited therefore please cancel your booking if you are unable to attend.
Courses run either Face to Face during the day or Virtually in the evening. The courses run weekly Monday-Friday on the same day and time each week, there are 4 weekly antenatal sessions which are 2 hours per session, plus a 5th session post birth reunion (date and time to be confirmed at a later date). We welcome fathers and partners to attend these courses. It is important you are available for all 4 antenatal sessions. Please only book 1 ticket (per household) which will cover all 4 sessions.
You can find out more from your midwife or by contacting our Single Point of Access on 0113 8435683 or by accessing https://www.leedscommunityhealthcare.nhs.uk/our-services-a-z/0-19-public-health-integrated-nursing/parents-from-leeds-and-group-support/
