About this Event
We invite you to join us, Fióna Bolger and Aneta Stepien for a workshop of welcome words. We will be sharing all the words and ways of welcome we know, an opportunity to learn from others and be heard. We will be reading some fun James Joyce and then writing our own new welcomes.
We will be reading Dublin poems and writing our own about Dublin and cities we love, digging down into the mud of Dublin and just making stuff up.
We will be gathering poems and playthings, languages and lore together and sharing our findings and footherings with the wider community and the world.
Work from these workshops, with your consent, will be popping up in and around Phibsboro, welcoming all and mapping our the Dublin we want to live in.
Kumonalong and join us in our wor(l)d play! All are welcome. No experience needed!
Dubeloving is a series of REACH funded workshops run by Intercultural Language Service.
Rafael Mendes and Fióna Bolger facilitate plurilingual creative writing workshops where all
are welcome to come, write and share their words. All languages are welcome in the room.
We take time to share our words and learn each others words. Each session begins with
chatting and sharing. We follow up with introducing some new published writing. We then
write ourselves and finally we share what we wish to from our writing. Some prefer to sit and
think and chat rather than read their work. Some need support to write. Some need help with
translation. There is time for everyone, Check out some poems written in our workshops:
