The Men's Open Tennis Championship will be held at the Aviation Club Tennis Centre in Dubai from February 16 to March 1 2025. This tournament is considered one of the most prestigious sporting events bringing together leading tennis players from all over the world. Since its foundation in 1993 it has come a long way from a low-profile competition to one of the key stages of the international ATP 500 series.
The landmark year for the tournament was 1995 when a modern stadium was built in Dubai with excellent conditions for matches which attracted both athletes and fans. Today the Dubai tennis tournament not only draws attention to the competition but also pleases the audience with additional entertainment events such as concerts and show programs. In 2025 32 tennis players will play in singles and 16 teams in doubles.
This championship is known for its high prize money and valuable ranking points. For winning singles a tennis player receives 500 points in the ranking which makes participation especially important for leading athletes. Among the legendary winners of the past years were such stars as Novak Djokovic Rafael Nadal Roger Federer and Daniil Medvedev. In 2024 Frenchman Yugo Ember won but Roger Federer remains the record holder of the tournament who won here eight times.
