World touring bass music star Dub FX is coming to Byron Bay for an un-missable one-off warehouse party, hosted by Island Vibe festival, SUBV and the S/lash Warehouse crew.
Joining him on the night are Juman & the Riddim Squad, Andy V and DJ Asha Franco.
Dub FX, the ultimate one-man band, is famous for creating powerful, bass-heavy tracks entirely on his own using his voice, a loop pedal, and FX processors. Since starting his career as a street performer in 2006, Dub FX is one of the first artists ever to go viral on YouTube and cultivate a loyal worldwide social media fanbase completely independent of the mainstream. In this time, Dub FX has produced 7 studio albums and extensively toured the world.
Over the last nineteen years, Dub FX has sold over 250,000 albums, headlined major festivals, racked up over 300 million collective YouTube views, and built an imposing social media presence.
Juman is a singer, songwriter and producer originally from Naarm/Melbourne, now living on Bundjalung Country in northern NSW, Australia.
Anchored by her powerful vocals, her self-produced music is a textural amalgamation of electronic R&B, neo/future soul and hip-hop, influenced by her love of the natural world and her Palestinian-Turkish urban upbringing.
Her latest album Love Is All was spotlighted in Bandcamp’s Best Soul Releases, and she has been captivating audiences across Australia’s festival circuit with standout performances at Splendour in the Grass, Earth Frequency, Kuranda Roots and Strawberry Fields, as well as supporting Peaches and Ladi6.
Juman has teamed up with the Riddim Squad, an all-star rhythm section featuring Keyboardist Andy V (Dub FX), bassist Rudi Quinzalez (Island Vibe Festival founder), guitarist Tom Kelly (Sky Eater) and drummer Kushi Aragon (Mohilaa). Together they play a selection of gritty reggae and soul infused originals and classic reggae versions. Juman and the Riddim Squad is made for the big stage, the tight knit bass heavy band lays the perfect foundation for Juman’s mind bending vocals, which combined with her easy charm and storytelling, leave audiences slack-jawed and starry-eyed with wonder.
Andy V is a live looping multi-instrumentalist performing across various U.K bass driven music styles, mainly including Dub/Reggae, Electro Swing and Drum and Bass. With his saxophone, keyboards and signature loop stations, Andy brings a highly dynamic 'one man band' show full of live looped energy and imagination.
Highly influenced from acts such as Fat Freddy's Drop, The Cat Empire, Dub Fx, The Black Seeds, Gentleman's Dub Club as well as DJ/Producers such as Shy Fx, Benny Page, Ed Solo and Deekline, Andy's live show takes his audiences on a truly memorable listening experience driven by his passion to perform and connect with like minded people.

Asha Franco is one of Byron Bay’s most in demand Dj’s, enjoying residencies at many of the town’s top clubs including Haven. Her style is a fusion of AfroBeat, house, world and dancehall flavours.
S/lash Warehouse is the brainchild of Monisier Diop (Barefoot Beats) and Nico (the Ambassadors) and is Byron Bay’s newest and most exciting hub of creativity. The warehouse features many pop up craft stalls and art spaces, a bar, food vendors and a dub bunker for late night kick-ons.
