About our speakers:

Sally Njoroge

I love being in the position to uplift others. I thrive in creating pathways for changemakers to share their work knowledge and experiences with communities. I enjoy seeing relationships grow and connections made that lead to new ways of solving problems. In the Studio you’ll find me working on the Artist as Changemaker Project and the Changemaker Conversations Project.

Clark Thenhaus

Author founding director of Endemic Architecture and an Assistant Professor of Architecture at the California College of Arts in San Francisco. His work focuses on issues of architectural form and expression in the context of broader historical and contemporary cultural phenomena.

This is reflected in the double entendre of the office name Endemic Architecture where attention to the particularities of specific places is leveraged in order to amplify architectural experiences underscored by a commitment to the methodologies and discourse inherent to the discipline of architecture.

Endemic Architecture has won numerous awards for emerging architects most notably including the 2015 Architectural League Prize for Young Architects & Designers and the 2017 Architects Newspaper Best of Design award for Best Public Landscape. Thenhaus has exhibited and published his work widely including at Harvard GSD Yale SOA and Jai & Jai Gallery along with essays or work in Possible Mediums Project Journal and Young Architects 17-Authenticity. Thenhaus earned his M.Arch from the University of Pennsylvania PennDesign and his undergraduate B.Envd from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
