Join Down Syndrome Family Connection as we unite for a common cause and raise funds at the 2024 Buddy Walk® in Bloomington. Whether you have Down syndrome, know someone who does, or just want to show your support, take the first step and donate or register today! Help us spread the word; all are welcome to join our celebration!The Buddy Walk® in Bloomington is Down Syndrome Family Connection's biggest event of the year. Much more than a fundraiser walk, this event is a fun-filled family-friendly event, featuring carnival games, karaoke, inflatables, food trucks, and entertainment. All people with disabilities are celebrated and honored as our MVPs for the day, and the event is highly anticipated each year as the largest (and most fun!) gathering for the local disability community. Many people from the community at large also come for the fun and to support DSFC and our constituents. Attendees include people of all ages and all abilities, from Monroe County and several other surrounding counties.The event is free, with the option to purchase an event t-shirt.
Registration starts at 1 pm with activities all around the registration site. The Walk begins at 3 pm and will tour Switchyard Park. There will be prizes and awards for teams. Check Facebook for more on those.
To participate in this event, go to https://www.ds-stride.org/buddywalkbloomington select the "REGISTER" button to set up a new or returning team, join a team, or register as an individual. Additional family/team members can be added by selecting the green "Add Another Registrant" button during Step 3. After you complete registration you can start your team or personal fundraising page by selecting the "Fundraising Page Set Up" button at the top of the online receipt.
