FREE ENTRY!! Donations on the door . . . Saturday night DRYADIC show
+ Support from RAGGED MAGPIES
Dryadic's distinctive sound and connected live show command the audience with tenacious singalong hooks delivered straight from the heart, backed up by epic layered harmonies, raw energy, emotion and stage presence. Feel-good, rousing rhythms underpin candid, humorous lyrics reflecting lead singer and songwriter Zora McDonald's passions, beliefs and politics. Expect foot-stomping feminist protest songs and travelling folk tales, to dreamy epic ballads where the five string fiddle (Wycombe's very own Aly Rainey) and double bass like to do-si-do in the audience.
Ragged Magpies gather sounds the way their namesake birds collect treasures - weaving songs into something bright and unexpected. Based in folk and roots traditions, they rework songs with fresh textures and rich harmonies, giving old melodies new shine whilst keeping their spirit intact. Wycombe folk will definitely recognise Ragged Magpies members so come along and listen to what we're all up to . . .
