"This album is about grief. Grief for losing people, losing yourself. Grief for the world. Grief for our bodies. Grief for the relationships we give up so we can heal and the compromises we make to maintain relationships. Grief for our younger selves. Grief for the life we had and the one we want but may never be able to have.
They say anger comes with grief and this album is my anger. These lyrics were recorded on voice notes while I cried on my drive home from work or written into notebooks when I couldn’t sleep. The last few years broke me into many pieces and this LP was a step in putting myself back together. Know that - if you’ve lost someone, if you’ve lost yourself, if you are struggling and it feels like existing just keeps getting harder- you are not alone."
