We are so excited to see how well our Grow-A-Row project at the Evanston Community Garden is going! So far, our entirely volunteer run operation has harvested more than 80 pounds of carrots 🥕, beets 🫜 and zucchini!! We will have much more to come and hopefully a magnificent harvest of potatoes planned on September 20, from noon to 2 pm. Please join us and bring some dry food donations if you can. Let’s make this the reflection of Evanston’s caring culture at its best! Immense thanks for the grant by the Calgary Foudation and made possible with the help of the Friends of the Federation of Calgary Communities. Also tremendous gratitude for our core of volunteers and the broader support of the users of the park who often stop by to marvel at the bounty and thank us. This makes it very heart warming and rewarding 🙏.
