We will celebrate Beltane by ‘drumming up the sun’. Please brings your drums, rattles tambourines or other percussive instruments, and if you like, something for the altar. We will be meeting down by the ruins from 05:15 onwards, with sunrise at 05:30 🌅
Participant numbers at these very special events are steadily increasing and it's wonderful to see a community of sacred drummers growing. We need to pay particular care and attention to the historic site itself and nearby residents, making sure our actions are respectful and considerate and aligned to the ethos of the events.
Please:
- be careful to take everything with you when you leave, especially litter - only footprints should remain.
- do not allow children to climb on ruins, as explicitly requested on signage around the site
- avoid parking where it might obstruct local traffic.
