Join us for an experience in sound. Created by Taylor, the DRUMeditation is a combination of guided meditation and rhythmic environments in the form of drums, bells, shakers, flutes, voices, etc., by Taylor, resulting in a powerful transformative experience designed to open your mind and body, so that you may identify and be receptive to the internal and external healing you need to do.

Additional Considerations: Dress comfortably; use a yoga mat, blanket, and/or pillow; eat only lightly prior to meditation.
We have many props in the studio but you are welcome to bring your own :)
About Taylor:
Michael J. Taylor, more commonly known simply as 'Taylor', is a published author, has been teaching, performing, and recording West African djembe music since 1994. The Director of the TAM TAM MANDINGUEDJEMBE ACADEMY, CHICAGO school of percussion, a TAM TAM MANDINGUE CERTIFIED PROFESSOR of djembe (holding a TTM Certificate *and* TTM Diploma) and the founder and driving force behind HOLYGOAT PERCUSSION, he teaches, performs, imports, sells and repairs West African djembe and dunun drums.
He began practicing Yoga the same year he began drumming and by way of his drumming, he informs any Yoga practice combining his drumming skill and knowledge of asana.
He authored the book "Remembering Your Ancestral Fire" (2023), he has recorded three cds of original West African djembe-based music. A TOUCH OF CHAOS INTHE RHYTHMIC SOUP has been in stores since 1996; SILENCE has been out since late 2001; and SILENCE IN THE RHYTHMIC SOUP (rhythmic environments for yoga and meditation) was released Spring 2003. He created 2 ground-breaking instructional dvds; one focused on traditional djembe technique entitled REMEMBERING HOW TO DRUM (2003) and the other focused on the essential repetition that comes with mastery of the djembe entitled AKARAN IKO IKO (2006), which are selling worldwide.
