Born into the vibrant musical traditions of Egypt, I began playing the tabla (doumbek) at a young age, inspired by my father, a master craftsman of these instruments. Immersed in their rhythms and artistry, I developed a lifelong passion for the drum and its cultural legacy.
For me, the doumbek is more than an instrument—it is a voice of tradition and identity, carrying rhythms that have echoed across generations. What makes Middle Eastern drumming unique are its intricate tempos and patterns, each telling a story of heritage and connection.
With dedication and enthusiasm, I continue to teach, perform, and share these rhythms, inspiring others to discover both the technical precision and the soulful heartbeat of this timeless instrument.
