Gregg Potter will be leading a drum clinic at the Bellson Music Fest and is sure to be an incredible experience for drummers and music lovers alike. The drum clinic will be held the same day as the Bellson Music Fest on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 11:30am to 12:30pm at the McCormick Event Center in Rock Falls. Gregg Potter is the drummer with The Buddy Rich Big Band Machine. A multi-media show, featuring Buddy's daughter Cathy Rich, and a sixteen piece alumni band. Gregg fronted the BR Band throughout the Buddy Rich Centennial Celebration year and 2017-2018 World Tour. Not only crisscrossing the United States, but barnstorming Europe, including a sold out week at prestigious Ronnie Scott’s UK. Gregg’s inaugural show was at the 25th Anniversary Buddy Rich Memorial Concert in England at the London Palladium in April of 2012. He also led the band through a sold out 2012 Summer Tour and a 2013 SRO Japan concert series. Cathy Rich and Gregg, along with the band, recorded at the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London in the Spring of 2023, to be released in 2025. They will also continue to tour the world. Gregg was also featured in the December 2022 special commemorative Buddy Rich issue of Modern Drummer Magazine, DRUMHEAD Magazine and UK's RHYTHM Magazine. In 2016, Hal Leonard Publishing released a first ever, Buddy Rich “Play Along” CD/ Book package featuring Gregg's drumming along with the Buddy Rich Alumni Band. Gregg began his professional career after winning the Slingerland/ Louie Bellson National Drum Contest at the legendary Frank’s Drum Shop in Chicago. As a High School student, he was presented with the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award along with several other Jazz soloist individual awards.
In 2009 Gregg won an EMMY Award for his CBS Television performance at the Grammy Foundation.
