Join us for a special drum and sound circle led by Dave Curry.
All are encouraged to be free, drum, sound, dance and voice. Bring your own drum or other instrument, or use one of ours. All instruments and people welcome.
Please bring an open mind and the willingness to express yourself as well as whatever else you need to be comfortable including a water bottle
Cost: $10 (Students from Intro to Drumming class may intend as part of the class package at no additional cost). Payment can be made at the door or online.
About the Facilitator:
Dave Curry is the creator of Drums For One & All, the umbrella under which he offers the following drumming-related services: event facilitation, workshop instruction, private lessons, live performances, and drum repairs. Since 2001, Dave has lead the popular FreeDrum event every month, as well as the SpiritDrum event since 2006. Dave is the co-creator and organizer for the Eastern Mass Rhythm Festival, which is entering its 20th season. For 14 years, Dave taught hand drumming through the Assabet school, and now he currently teaches through the Groton Hill Music Center. He is the author of two books on hand drumming and percussion. Dave is the creative director of the Drum Nomads performance ensemble. Over the past 25 years, Dave has lead nearly 2000 drumming events at schools, churches, colleges, libraries, retreat centers and other institutions across New England.
The Current is located at the Kilburn Mill in Suite 2-83.
Take the stairs or elevator to the 2nd Floor, follow the hall to the RIGHT, and we are just beyond The Judith Klein and steps away from the Kilburn Mill Flea Market and the creative vortex that is the Artisan Center!
