Are you interested in roller derby, or simply curious to learn more about the team? Druid City Derby is recruiting adult skaters, referees, and non-skating officials. Join us for a relaxed and informative Roller Derby Meet & Greet on Monday September 8th at 7PM, hosted at Druid City Brewing Company. Then, join us at Super Skate on Wednesday September 10th from 7-9PM to start learning the on-skates basics! No prior experience is necessary, and there's no pressure.This is the perfect chance to find out if roller derby is the sport for you and to get to know our DCD family! Our league is open gender and there's no "try out" to pass, you just need to show up, introduce yourself, and give it a shot!
At the Meet & Greet, you'll have the chance to:

🍻 Enjoy a drink or two (and food from Ell's Kitchen)
❓ Ask any questions
🛼 Get a close look at our skates & safety gear

At the Meet & Skate:
$5 Skate rentals will be available. You are required to be in full gear to skate with us which includes a helmet, wrist guards, elbow pads, and knee pads. Loaner gear will be available at no cost first come, first served but we usually have plenty! Once again, you do not have to have any prior experience or knowledge of roller derby or skating to participate; let our vet skaters show you the ropes and teach you the fundamentals!
This is your opportunity to get a glimpse into the world of Tuscaloosa’s one and only roller derby league. We're ready to welcome you and share our passion for the sport. We hope to see you there!
For juniors ages 10-17, see our Druid City Daredevils Junior Roller Derby Recruitment, as recruitment times and places differ. Our junior team is also now offering a Little Daredevils Skate School for kids 6 to 9 to learn to skate.
