Are you interested in roller derby, or simply curious to learn more about the team? Druid City Daredevils are recruiting junior skaters of all genders, ages 10-17! Join us at Super Skate on Monday January 12th and Wednesday January 14th from 6:30-8PM to start learning the on-skates basics! No prior experience is necessary, and there's no pressure.And we are excited to introduce a new one hour skate school to focus on skating only for kids ages 6 to 9! We know younger skaters are interested in roller derby but need some extra time with basics and training and are pleased to begin offering practice time Mondays and Wednesdays 6-7PM. Come by to learn more.
Parents and Junior Representatives are encouraged to stay through junior recruitment to learn more about roller derby, the skate school, and how they can get involved!
At the on-skates recruitment, you'll have the chance to:

🛼 Learn safely protocols & skating basics
❓ Ask any questions
🛼 Try out loaner skates & safety gear to find what works best for you
Juniors are required to be in full gear to skate during recruitment which includes helmet, wrist guards, elbow pads, and knee pads. If you already own skates or safety gear, you're welcome to bring them. However, we have a collection of safety gear available for all juniors' use so they can try out different brands and sizes before needing to buy anything new! Skate rentals are also available onsite for $5.
