----- Workshop Description ------
You’re good but you’re stuck. You need improv S.O.S. As improvisors we KNOW we don’t want to just stand and talk, we want to be more physical but what does that mean? And how can we actually do that in a way that is instinctual, playful and simple?
This workshop explores how we explore physicality in improvisation through the Self, our Objects and Space. Practical tools and playful exploration will lead you to making choices that surprise even yourself. Get out of your head and into your body.
Open to all experience level.
----- About Anděl Sudik -----
Anděl Sudik is a director, improviser, actor and writer based in L.A. and Chicago. She moved to Chicago from Los Angeles in 2001 and began taking classes at iO(then Improv Olympic) and after two years was hired by The Second City for their touring company. She has been professionally improvising since 2003.
As an ensemble member, writer and actor she is an alum of Boom Chicago in Amsterdam where she also worked for Comedy Central News Netherlands, the Second City Touring Company and Resident Stage, where she wrote and performed in the Jeff Award award winning Second City ETC revue “We’re All in this Room Together” and has performed improvisation and sketch comedy aboard NCL ships. She has directed the Second City Touring Company, Theatricals and NCL ships as well as training center house teams. She has produced countless successful two-man shows as Arch&Anděl(The Public House, Annoyance, OoB Festival) and travels and teaches independently.
